Project Description
B.A./B.Th. Youth Ministry

Overview
The Youth Ministry focus combines 28 months of Horizon’s Pastoral Leadership program (includes 4-month internship) with a 1-year Youth Care Worker’s Certificate from Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
Students graduate with both a B.A. from Horizon and a Certificate from Sask Polytech, opening the doors to either professional ministry or service in the public sector. Those wishing to graduate with the B.Th. designation must additionally complete two courses in biblical languages (Hebrew 1 and 2 or Greek 1 and 2).
With solid Christian worldview formation, students will be prepared for a career in community and school-based youth programs, residential treatment centres, recreation programs, home-based care, children’s and youth advocacy, or community development.

*Month duration is estimated on average full-time completion rates of 10 courses per 8-month period. Actual completion rates vary based on individual student course loads.

Additional Considerations
This Horizon Plus+ degree program is available in partnership with Saskatchewan Polytechnic, or you may use similar studies from another educational institution to fulfill Horizon’s degree requirements. Ask us how.
Acceptance into Horizon’s Plus+ degree program does not guarantee acceptance into a Saskatchewan Polytechnic program.
Horizon Plus+ requirements must be met within 5 years of the completion of the Horizon portion of studies.
