Campus

Based in the beautiful city of Saskatoon, SK, Horizon has relocated its campus to a brand new 2-storey facility. Saskatoon is favourably positioned in the heart of the Prairies on the South Saskatchewan River with nine bridges linking east to west. The city is known for its youthful, active population, Meewasin Valley trails, which encompass sixty kilometres of picturesque pathways, and the University of Saskatchewan.

“A state-of-the art facility and a significant upgrade compared to the previous campus. The location is highly desirable and appropriate.”
ABHE Campus Visit Report, April 6, 2023.

Our New Facility

Our new state-of-the-art leadership facility is located on Attridge Drive just off a major Saskatoon artery but backing onto a residential area near multiple amenities. Easy access to our partner institutions like the University of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Polytechnic as well as churches representing a variety of evangelical denominations allows our students to enjoy rich opportunities for collaborative training and practical ministry.

Community Life

One of the core values at Horizon is community. This is felt in every area of life at Horizon!

Student Housing

We recognize that moving to a new city is a big deal—it’s also pretty awesome! If you are planning to attend Horizon and are looking for a place to live, we are glad to help you with that process. Below are answers to some frequently asked questions.

Increasingly we found that our students preferred not to live in dorms. Therefore, when Horizon moved to our new building in 2021, we did not build a dorm. Instead, we have a list of close-by rental properties that we can provide for you.

We also have a Facebook Group called Horizon Housing Network. This group is a great way to help you find a roommate and a cozy place to live! If you want to be part of the Horizon Housing Network, simply request to join, and your request will be approved.

Some of our students have found great housing in Forest Grove Village apartments, only a 500-meter walk from our campus!

Having a roommate brings the best of dorm life, but without the restrictions of living in a dorm! If you are interested in living with other students that are also attending Horizon, we encourage you to post your desire on our Horizon Housing Network Facebook page to connect with other students also looking for roommates. If you want to be part of the Horizon Housing Network, simply request to join and your request will be approved.

You may also email the Student Services department at info@horizon.edu or call 306-374-6655 to let us know you are looking for a roommate and we will do our best to connect you with other students.

Horizon is in a pleasant residential neighbourhood called Forest Grove. There are lots of amenities within walking distance, including grocery stores, many restaurants, gyms, churches, and gas stations.

No, you do not need a car to attend Horizon! There are bus routes with stops only 300 meters from our campus and you can bus around Saskatoon easily. Also, as noted above, there are grocery stores, many restaurants, gyms, and churches, all within walking distance of Horizon.
