What makes Horizon different?

Horizon College & Seminary is dedicated to preparing competent Christian leaders. Located in Saskatoon, one of Canada’s fastest growing cities, Horizon offers degree programs in Pastoral Leadership and Christian Studies.

Horizon is one of the first evangelical schools to offer a Competency-Based Education model. This forward-thinking model provides our students with an innovative and practical education that prepares them to impact the Kingdom as highly-sought-after and effective leaders in the church.

Curious to know what’s happening?

We have a new page explaining Comptency-Based approach to education, see here to learn more.

We also have a new Pastoral Leadership Track page, check it out here.

Holimetics is coming to Winnipeg, Manitoba!

Are you a communicator who needs further professional development? Are you a preacher or biblical teacher that is deliberately dedicated to growing your skill set and learning from other leaders? Are you working on your PAOC credentials and haven’t yet taken the required Homiletics class? Great! Then this opportunity may be just what you’re after.

Horizon is taking its’ Homiletics class on the road to Winnipeg, Manitoba. It will be held over 4 full days (2 in November; 2 in March) at My Church Winnipeg in the Lakeside Room.

This will be an interactive, engaging class where you will learn from a variety of skilled leaders.

Horizon College & Seminary

Our goal and focus at Horizon is to prepare leaders for Christian life and ministry, whether that ministry be volunteer or professional. We aim to make our students better and more reflective thinkers about God and about Christian responsibility in our world. We aim to equip our students to be skilled practitioners of the Christian faith, ready for hands-on ministry in the local church and other settings. Whether you're preparing for professional ministry or are planning to transfer classes to the University of Saskatchewan or to go on to another vocation, it's essential to us that each student at Horizon more intimately develops her or his personal relationship with God. More specifically, though, our aim is to prepare you to live out that relationship concretely, practicing real-life, hands-on Christianity.
