B.A./B.Th. Mental Health & Addictions Ministry
Overview
This program combines 16 months of Horizon’s Ministry Leadership program with a 2-year Mental Health and Addictions Counselling Diploma program from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Students will engage in ministry and leadership training and learn to respond to emerging mental health and addiction trends in partnership with individuals, families, groups, and communities. Students graduate with both a B.A. from Horizon and a Diploma from Sask Polytech, opening the doors to either professional ministry or service in the public sector.
Those wishing to graduate with the B.Th. designation must additionally complete two courses in biblical languages (Hebrew 1 and 2 or Greek 1 and 2).

Additional Considerations
This Horizon Plus+ degree program is available in partnership with Saskatchewan Polytechnic, or you may use similar studies from another educational institution to fulfill Horizon’s degree requirements. Ask us how. The Mental Health & Addictions Counselling Diploma at Saskatchewan Poytechnic is not available to international students, including those studying in person in Canada.
Acceptance into Horizon’s Plus+ degree program does not guarantee acceptance into a Saskatchewan Polytechnic program.
Horizon Plus+ requirements must be met within 5 years of the completion of the Horizon portion of studies.
