Announcing Dr. Carmen Kampman as the New Program Coordinator for the M.A. in Ministry Leadership Program at Horizon Seminary
Dr. Carmen Kampman will begin serving as the Coordinator for our M.A. in Ministry Leadership program and our Master of Divinity (M.Div.) program.
Dr. Kampman joined the faculty of Horizon and Master’s College & Seminary (MCS), in August 2024 as Assistant Professor of Leadership & Spiritual Formation.
Dr. Jeromey Martini, President of Horizon observes,
“Dr. Kampman is a proven executive leader with a history of mobilizing and coaching people towards strategic goals. She has demonstrated experience in leadership development, spiritual care, pastoring, speaking and teaching, and strategic thinking and planning.”

Dr. Kampman will continue to serve on the executive leadership team of Horizon and MCS as Vice President of Community Relations. She previously served in leadership at Horizon, eventually as Vice President of Advancement (2013-2019). She then took a break from employment with Horizon and went on to earn a Doctor of Ministry degree in Leadership and Spiritual Formation from George Fox University.
An ordained minister with the PAOC, Dr. Kampman has served as an Associate Pastor at Westside Pentecostal Church and Connect Church YXE, both in Saskatoon (2019-2022), and since 2019 she has served as a Spiritual Care Practitioner, most recently with St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. She is also an accomplished businessperson as co-owner and operator of Bertohn Dairy Farms since 1991. Outside of employment, Dr. Kampman has provided leadership as a board member for the Saskatoon Christian School (including as chair) and for Women’s Journey of Faith.
This year at Horizon Seminary, Dr. Kampman will continue to provide leadership to Horizon’s Women’s Cohort, teach a course on the Spiritual Formation of Leaders, and co-teach with Dr. Martini the course, “A Biblical Theology of Leadership.”
