Leadership is one of the most talked-about topics today—but what does the Bible actually teach about it?
In the upcoming course, A Biblical Theology of Leadership, you’ll explore leadership through the lens of Scripture—not simply learning leadership principles, but discovering God’s purpose for leadership, the responsibility that comes with influence, and how ordinary people are called to participate in His work.

Why take this course?
A Biblical Theology of Leadership goes beyond leadership techniques to help you develop a thoroughly biblical understanding of influence, responsibility, and service. By exploring leadership through the lens of Scripture, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how God forms leaders who faithfully serve His purposes in the church, the marketplace, and everyday life.
Together with Dr. Carmen Kampman and Dr. Jeromey Martini, you’ll engage topics such as power, mentorship, women and men in leadership, family systems, self-differentiation, and the biblical foundations that shape faithful leadership today.
Throughout the course, you will:
- Explore principles, patterns, and practices in the biblical narrative that can inform personal identity as a leader and contemporary theory and practice of godly leadership.
- Assess organizational and structural elements that impact and are influenced by a biblical and Christian theology of leadership (e.g., power, community, culture, opposing environments, ungovernable change, shifting societal norms).
- Articulate a personal exegetical statement of biblical leadership that encompasses teaching and examples from the Old and New Testaments.
No matter where you serve, this course will challenge you to lead with wisdom, humility, and a Kingdom perspective.
