Revivals & Awakenings Event

In a panel discussion, faculty members will probe this topic from three distinct vantage points:

1. a discussion of pastoral perspectives on spiritual awakenings and past revivals (including Saskatoon);
2. a theological exploration of how and why the Holy Spirit might be active in distinct ways during a revival; and
3. a consideration of some key elements in the ministry of John and Charles Wesley during the ‘Evangelical Revival’ of the 18th century.

The initial presentations will broaden to a discussion of the practical implications of our findings for our current context—including, we hope, robust engagement with those in attendance.
