Meet the Speakers
Tyrone was born and raised in Winkler, Manitoba, where he also completed his B.Th. in Pastoral Leadership at Horizon College & Seminary as a Zoom student.
After graduating in the spring of 2022, he made the move to beautiful Saskatoon to begin his career at Horizon as the College Ambassador.
To replenish himself on his time off, he enjoys reading, mountain biking, socializing, playing guitar, and making a quality cup of coffee.
“Hi everyone, I’m Grace! I’m a Bible College student and will be studying Mental Health and Addictions Counselling in the fall. I enjoy creating things, taking walks, and quality time with my family and friends.
Lately, I’ve been learning so much about what it means to connect with God through prayer, so I’m thrilled about the opportunity to share my learning with you!”
William is a husband, Pastor, and most importantly a follower of the way of Jesus.
William is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and is currently working towards his M.Div. right here at Horizon Seminary.
William is also a writer and a speaker, and is most passionate about making the gospel known in everyone’s lives.
Topic: Hearing God’s Voice
“Hello! My name is Heather Wood and I love doing life with Jesus! I also love exploring the outdoors, hanging with my two boys (Jasper and Sage), singing at my piano, and drinking coffee in the garden with my hubby, Scott.
I look forward to sharing with you my journey of hearing the Lord’s voice and also practising this with you!”
Topic: Reading the Bible
Ashley Power is a third year student at Horizon working towards a Bachelor of Theology in Pastoral Leadership. She loves to read, study, and teach and hopes to pursue a career in biblical studies.
Ashley will be leading a breakout session on “How to Read your Bible,” where she will share a variety of tips, tricks, and tools for how to engage with scripture, and how to develop sustainable scripture reading rhythms.
“My name is Charis Israelson and I am so excited to take a look at missions together at the NRG Youth Conference. I grew up a Pastor’s kid attending conferences like this one, and over the years I have had the joy and privilege of serving in church, attending Bible College, and going to Panama on a mission trip. Together we will dive into why missions work matters and where we fit in God’s grand plan for salvation!”
Topic: God’s Heart for Women in Ministry
Emma is a student at Horizon Seminary working towards a Masters in Pastoral Clinical Counselling.
Emma loves to mentor and pastor young women in the ways of Jesus.
