Gil Dueck has spent over 20 years in Christian higher education, first at Bethany College in Hepburn, SK and for the last nine years as Academic Dean at Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, BC. For most of these years he also served as an instructor in theology, Bible and ethics. He was also involved in the Saskatchewan MB Conference in the area of leadership development and currently serves on the National Faith and Life Team for the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. His doctoral work was completed through the Free University of Amsterdam where his research focused on a theology of transformation in the context of young adult faith development.
He currently serves in a church engagement role with Mennonite Central Committee Alberta, an non-profit committed to relief, peace, and development in the name of Christ. He and his wife Shelley are proud parents of three young adult daughters. Gil and Shelley live in Coaldale, AB.
