Accessibility

As a faith-based post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan, we are guided not only by academic commitments but also by principles that respect the dignity and independence of persons with disabilities. In alignment with the Accessible Saskatchewan Act, we have developed a comprehensive Accessibility Plan that will guide our efforts to identify and limit barriers across all aspects of our institution — from in-person and digital learning environments to admissions and community partnerships.

This commitment is especially important given the growing and diverse population of Canadians living with disabilities. According to recent data posted by Statistics Canada, about 27 % of Canadians aged 15 and older — roughly eight million people — live with at least one disability that affects daily activities. Among youth aged 15–24, the rate has grown significantly in recent years, increasing from 13.1% in 2017 to 20.1% in 20221. By proactively developing this plan, we aim to anticipate and address barriers experienced by persons with disabilities — visible or invisible — ensuring that every student can fully participate and succeed in their education.
