About our Seminary

Horizon offers graduate-level courses in partnership with Providence Theological Seminary (accredited by the Association of Theological Schools). Qualified students can take courses at Horizon for credit towards master’s degrees at Providence:

  • M.Div. (with option for a major in Pentecostal Studies)
  • M.A. (majors in: Christian Studies, Theological Studies, Counseling, Educational Studies, or Global Studies)
  • M.A. in Leadership –a new co-operative program

Horizon’s courses are also transferable to other seminaries usually by means of a Letter of Permission. Students must consult with their institution to ensure that a course at Horizon fits into the student’s program of studies.

You do not have to move to go to seminary! In addition to traditional semester classes, course delivery methods at Horizon and Providence include:

  • One-week module courses (Monday through Friday full days)
  • Online courses
  • Directed Study courses (i.e., distance education)

Horizon also has a longstanding agreement in partnership with Lutheran Theological Seminary (LTS) and the Saskatoon Theological Union (STU) to take courses at Horizon towards the Master of Divinity degree at Lutheran Seminary.
