Dear Students…

An important note for prospective and returning students: With the world so crazily uncertain at this moment you may be wondering, "Will Horizon even be running in September?" The answer is an emphatic "YES!!!" Right now, we're eagerly awaiting the arrival of multiple new and returning students on campus this fall. We're ready with student housing as Nathan and Melanie Cressman of Cressman Realty have residences ready for students to move into. Contact nathan@cressmanrpm.ca if you're interested! The Storm Will Pass

We're all a little anxious in the midst of this COVID-19 storm. But please remember that is is a storm - a fierce and terrible storm, for sure! - but a storm all the same and it will pass. Right now we, along with the rest of the world, are forced to bunker-down and wait it out as best we can while preserving as much life, laughter, and normalcy as we can. On March 19, all students who remained on campus completed the onsite portion of classes and most have moved out of residence. Horizon's facility is now locked down to [...]

New Update: Horizon Moving Classes Online

With the increased measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 announced by the Government of Saskatchewan this morning, Horizon will be ceasing on-campus academic and student life activities effective Friday, March 20. We will also offer opportunities to connect weekly online for chapel and life groups. We are not completely closing our residence since this is the local "home" many have who are working in the city. However, we will encourage students already planning to return home after [...]

Statement on COVID-19

Unquestionably, our world is in uncertain times! The outbreak of COVID-19 has produced a range of reactions, making it sometimes difficult to discern which voices to listen to. At this stage of the outbreak, Horizon will continue operating cautiously as usual. Although many larger institutions have wisely ceased their regular activities, Horizon is comparatively much smaller, well out of scale to these other institutions. Even at maximum capacity we don't come even close to reaching the minimum threshold indicated by health officials for not gathering, and no current students or staff are participating in international travel. Nevertheless, although we are operating [...]

Student Housing – Investment Opportunity2020-04-01T20:23:02+00:00

On the chilly evening of December 18, 2019, Horizon alumni, friends, staff, and students gathered to celebrate breaking ground for our new facility, set for completion by December 2020. Our president, Dr. Jeromey Martini, shared the following words: "We are here tonight commemorating the ground-breaking of a new building that represents the fourth time this college has relocated. These relocations tell an important story about who we are as a college. Established in 1935 in Star City, SK, we relocated to Saskatoon in 1937, first moving in with Elim Church. Shortly thereafter, we relocated near the city's inner core, to what [...]
