Financial Aid
It is assumed that basic responsibility for financing studies rests with the students and his or her parents; however, we recognize that some students do not have adequate personal or family resources to finance their educational expenses. The following services of financial assistance are available to students who apply to Horizon: Canada Student Loans and Bursaries, CIBC Student Line of Credit, Entry Level Scholarships, and Professionals’ Discounts (please see College Tuition & Fee's). A number of scholarships are also presented at graduation; please see the Awards and Scholarships section.
Canada Student Loans and Bursaries
Horizon College & Seminary is a designated college under the Canada Student Loan Program. This qualifies students to apply for various sponsored loan programs as well as the national program. As a general rule, students in the Diploma and Bachelor programs are discouraged from taking large, long-term loans which could prove burdensome upon entering the ministry. Students expecting to use loans should make arrangements in early summer. Complete information and applications for Student Loans are available at:
