Horizon College & Seminary

Our goal and focus at Horizon is to prepare leaders for Christian life and ministry, whether that ministry be volunteer or professional. We aim to make our students better and more reflective thinkers about God and about Christian responsibility in our world. We aim to equip our students to be skilled practitioners of the Christian faith, ready for hands-on ministry in the local church and other settings. Whether you're preparing for professional ministry or are planning to transfer classes to the University of Saskatchewan or to go on to another vocation, it's essential to us that each student at Horizon more intimately develops her or his personal relationship with God. More specifically, though, our aim is to prepare you to live out that relationship concretely, practicing real-life, hands-on Christianity.

Preparing competent Christian leaders is paramount at Horizon College and Seminary. One of the many ways we invest in our students is to provide them with the opportunity to attend the Global Leadership Summit as part of the curriculum for our course, "Contemporary Approaches to Leadership."

We would also like to extend an invitation to members of our community. Horizon will be hosting the conference on January 25th and 26th here, on campus, and we would like you to join us. In order to attend you will need to audit the "Contemporary Approaches to Leadership" course, at a cost of $175. For more details, please contact us at 306.374.6655 or info@horizon.edu.

LEAD Saskatoon is a morning for leaders and it's worth getting up for!
This morning's speaker was Todd MacPherson (he was instrumental in helping us launch LEAD in 2015) and his talk, Leading With the End in Mind, was incredibly timely for all who attended. He spoke on four key elements: Clarity, Growth, Awareness, and Authenticity.

Next month's LEAD Saskatoon is February 8th.

“Stories of Jesus showing up in our lives, varied as they may be, have the power to point other people to Jesus.”

Our Executive Director of Advancement, Carmen Kampman, had her article “So What’s Your Story? The Life Changing Power of a Simple Story” published in the January/February issue of Testimony Magazine.
